Business outreach. When contacting businesses, I process professional contact details: business name, address, phone, and generic email address. They come from public sources, including the open OpenStreetMap database (ODbL license) and information the businesses publish themselves. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in offering a professional service to businesses likely to have an interest in it.
These details are kept for at most three years from the last contact, and are never sold or shared with third parties.
One exception, in your favor: if you ask not to be contacted again, your email address alone is held on a suppression list indefinitely, with no other details attached to it. Keeping it is the only way to be certain you are never contacted again, and that is the sole purpose it is used for.
You can ask at any time, with no reason given, to be removed and to have your details deleted. Write to [email protected] or use the unsubscribe page. Requests are handled within 72 hours. Where the GDPR applies you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and may complain to your national data protection authority.
Content on this site is protected by copyright. The businesses shown in the examples are invented for demonstration. The sites themselves are real: I built every one of them and they are live.
